WorkChain.io, the blockchain solution for the future of work, has launched its first decentralized application workID, the first immutable Curriculum Vitae (CV) built on the blockchain, designed to transform the functioning of the professional world.
WorkChain.io CEO, Ivan Petrovic, a veteran of the workforce technology industry, made the official announcement, revealing how workID will use blockchain technology to shape the future of work, hiring and even payroll .
Mr. Petrovic said:
"In today's world of work, employers have no chance when it comes to trying to examine candidates. A line in a resume can be easily invented and LinkedIn is not reliable because more than a third of people lie in their LinkedIn profile. WorkID uses advanced blockchain technology to create the world's first immutable CV that only contains reliable and verified data. It will revolutionize the future of work, giving employers unprecedented capacity to contract with certainty and employees will gain true ownership of their identities. "
workID is a decentralized application built on WorkChain, a public record of verified work proof vouchers created through integrations with reliable data sources, such as personnel management and payroll systems.
Using the verified records that WorkChain creates, the workID combines work, academic and payment histories in a unique, universal search and access profile that verifies information such as:
Full and part time employment history
Position (s) occupied, start and end dates
Shifts and individual contracts
Skills
Qualifications obtained, institutions attended and academic records
Payroll and records
workID is the first decentralized application built in WorkChain through the patented blockchain protocol of the platform. The second, workPAY, will allow the processing of the payroll in real time using the verified work records of the WorkChain platform.
"The way the world works is rapidly changing to independent work and on demand," continued Mr. Petrovic. "For example, only in the USA. In the United States, there are 78 million salaried workers per hour and it is expected that 50 percent of people will work independently by 2020.
